Globalization affects everyone
Globalization is an important part of everybody's life. Globalization is the growing integration of economies and societies around the world. Globalization's most visible sings are shopping malls, and the outsourcing of factory jobs to other countries. The main players in the Globalization debate are international organizations such the World Trade Organization, United Nations, World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund who all work around the world to help control the world's economy. Other main players in the globalization debate are nongovernmental organizations that are not connected to any governmental body, multinational corporations who are big corporations that have worldly influence, and sovereign nation states are some of the main players of globalization. Globalization is very important because it affects everybody, in that a lot of the products used today are made in other countries, and that a lot of jobs that where american jobs are being moved to other countries where it will be done for cheaper. Globalization brings products from all around the world and makes them affordable and available to us here in the United States, but globalization also takes a lot of jobs that were once done by american workers and takes them to other countries for less pay. Globalization affects everyone by either the products we all use on a daily bases or the job that people have.
I believe that although globalization is said to bring job opportunities and a better life for those people who work for the corporations, I believe that it robs the country and it's people of their culture. I think that globalization and outsourcing try to make a copy of american living and culture in the countries that they affect. People working in the outsourced country have to learn how to sound and act like americans and lose all that make them unique. Also some of the people that get the jobs that are offered are underpaid and their working conditions are not as great as working conditions here America and still a lot of those people live in poverty. People for globalization say that the benefits outweigh the costs but the jobs that it bring to other countries don't pay enough and have bad working conditions because it's cheaper to cut on safe working conditions and pay the bare minimum. Also the benefit that it brings the world closer by making products more affordable and available does not outweigh the cost that underpaid people worked long hours to make those products so cheap. Globalization also steals the culture of the people who are affected by it because it forces them to act like americans and be into our customs and culture. That's why I think that although globalization is a good idea, it's costs do not outweigh the benefits.
